AFTERNOON LEARNING ADVENTURES
Extend Your Child’s Learning Experience!We’d love to have your preschooler join us on select Wednesdays throughout the school year for some Afternoon Learning Adventures!
Each themed afternoon will include lots of different learning activities and projects. We will sing songs, make arts and crafts, practice preschool math skills, and even try out some science experiments! Classes will be taught by our amazing Gentle Learning Preschool staff.
Fee Includes: Staying for lunch after preschool dismissal. Participants will have lunch in the Kids Day Out classroom from 12:00-12:30pm. Please make sure you bring a lunch for your child.
Kids Day Out Program Opt-in: Each Afternoon Learning Adventure ends at 2:00pm. You can opt-in at registration checkout to have your child stay in our Kids Day Out program until 3:00pm for an additional $5 per class.

Ice & Snow Science & Art
Time to investigate ice and snow through science experiments, counting and STEM activities. We’ll try out different ways to melt ice, use a scale to weigh ice and snow, read a story, and try our hand at painting with ice!

Love is in the Air
We’ll spend our afternoon making some “LOVE”ly valentine crafts for the people who mean so much to us! We’ll pull out the glue, glitter, doilies, and ribbon to make something incredible.

Mighty Math
It’s time to count, sort, group, graph, and pattern together as we spend the afternoon with centers designed to strengthen preschool math skills. Using everyday objects in new and creative ways, your child will be able to learn at school then show off their new skills at home!

Rainbows
Join us for a colorful afternoon where we will discover the magic of rainbows. We’ll mix colors, make an art project, do some science, and create a colorful snack.

Hanging with my PEEPS!
Easter is fast approaching, and marshmallow PEEPS are everywhere! We’re spending the afternoon with these sticky little treats…making play dough, doing some science experiments, and even having a PEEPS taste test!

Earth Day
We’ll celebrate Earth Day by learning about all the ways we can take care of our planet. We’ll make an earth-friendly project and read a story about our amazing planet!

Planting a Garden
As the weather gets warmer, it’s time to start thinking about planting a garden. We’ll spend the afternoon learning about different types of gardens, planting our own seeds, and preparing our very own raised garden box for the Gentle Learning Preschool playground.

We All Scream for Ice Cream!
It’s almost time to trade in our pencils and crayons for swimsuits and sunglasses. We’re going to make an ice cream volcano, paint with cones and make our very own homemade ice cream. You don’t want to miss this one!
