I taught kindergarten and 1st grade in South Florida for 3 years before returning to Illinois to teach 1st grade in Lemont. I hope to encourage their love of learning through exploration and play, songs and stories, and lots of imagination. My husband, 2 little boys and I live in Woodridge with our sweet old dog. I enjoy cooking, swimming, biking, and watching my boys play soccer.

Mrs. Nancy Staib:

My teaching degree is from Northeastern Illinois University, and I am certified K-9 in both Will and DuPage counties. I have taught kindergarten in Chicago, as well as been a teacher’s aide in school district 203. I believe it is equally important to support the social and emotional development of young children, as is the academic development. I started my career at the preschool in 2003, when I was first hired as an aide. I love to travel and read in my spare time. I am married, have 2 adult daughters, and live in Naperville with my husband.

Mrs. Kim Martin:

I have loved working with children for as long as I can remember. I got my bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Concordia University in River Forest, and later a masters in curriculum and instruction from Olivet Nazarene University. I taught fourth and fifth grade for eight years before resigning to stay home with my children. I am so excited to get back in the classroom and work with preschoolers. I hope to make their first school experiences positive, and to develop a love of learning that will last throughout their academic careers and well into adulthood. I live in Lisle with my three girls, husband, and two cats. I love to be outside exploring with my family. When I have to be inside you might find me cooking, doing yoga, or enjoying books with my girls.

Mrs. Eileen McShea:

I graduated from St. Mary’s University in MN, and began teaching at the park district in 2002. I have taught enrichment and sports classes over the years in addition to being a supervisor of the After School program at Tate Woods School. My most important role is being the lead teacher of Stepping Stones, where I can help first time students feel comfortable with school. My goal is to create a welcoming environment for each student. I want each child to love coming to school so that their first classroom experience is very positive. I am married with 5 children, and enjoy reading.
