SUMMER CAMP
Make it your child's best summer yet!Gentle Learning Summer Camp is a place for Lisle Park District’s littlest campers ages 3-5 years old and those entering Kindergarten. The Gentle Learning Preschool teachers are looking forward to spending the summer with your little one! Our day will be packed full of fun-themed activities as well as lots of time outside both on our playground and throughout Community Park. Friday mornings will be spent at Sea Lion Aquatic Park using the giant sandbox and playing on the Splash Playground!
Each day of camp, please send your child with a full water bottle, snack and sunscreen already applied. All participants must be potty-trained.
A camper form will be emailed via Google Forms each week. This form will ask for emergency contact info, allergy info and additional details about your child. Please be sure to complete the form before the first day of camp.

Little Engineers
We’re pulling out ALL kinds of building materials during this fun week. Children will be encouraged to think BIG and small to create towers, tracks, cities, castles, bridges and more. The fun won’t stop when we’re outside because we’ll bring out the GIANT waffle blocks, Legos and tinker toys.

3, 2, 1 Blast Off!
Ready to blast off? We’re heading to a galaxy far, far away! We will learn about Earth and the amazing solar system and discover all things galactic: comets, planets, shooting stars, rockets and more. Learn about flight, the adventures of space travel, and participate in a rocket launch!

Summer Fun!
We plan to take full advantage of all things SUMMER this week. We’ll spend lots of time outside playing with bubbles and water toys, running through sprinklers, and creating masterpieces in chalk. We’ll ride bikes and scooters, go on some scavenger hunts, take nature walks and more.

Art with Anything
This week is all about using everyday objects to create a variety of projects and crafts. Campers will be encouraged to use their imaginations to make something unique and fun! Many of our projects will use glue and paint so please dress your child in clothes that can get messy.

Pirates & Mermaids
Ahoy there! The ocean is calling! We’ll pretend to be pirates looking for treasure and mermaids who live deep in the water. Join us as we play games, make special treasures, and learn all about the sea during this enchanting week of fun. Don’t be shark bait and miss this adventure!

Dino Discovery
We will journey into the world of long ago to discover dinosaurs! This week, we’ll learn about what makes each dino special, participate in an archaeological dig and make replicas of dinosaurs just like a real paleontologist. It’s going to be positively prehistoric!

Summer Olympics
Calling all little athletes! From gymnastics and basketball to relay races, volleyball, and tennis, we’re giving campers the opportunity to try out each sport throughout the week. We will make medals and torches and big Olympic rings to celebrate the upcoming Paris Olympic Games!

Animal Adventures
This week, we’ll explore animals and their habitats around the world. We’ll learn about which animals live in the Arctic, Desert, Savannah, Rainforest and in our own backyards. We’re excited to learn all about how some animals fly, some walk on land and even more swim! We are looking forward to a WILD time!

Prepare Your Little One for School
School Readiness
Let’s brush up on some very important preschool skills to ensure your child is ready for their upcoming school year! We will provide your child with carefully selected lessons, activities, and engaging projects to help ensure your preschooler is ready for the start of school. Concepts will include, but are not limited to, pencil grip and cutting, name recognition, letter and sound identification and formation, counting forward and backward from 1-20, patterning, shapes/colors, listening skills, rhyming, syllables and fine motor practice.
For 3-4 Year Olds
- Best for 3 year olds. The day will include snack time and lots of fun games to get us back into a learning mindset.
